Clothing
It is preferable to have bare arms and legs as this will make it easier to spin and keep control on the pole. But, as we said before hot pants are not necessary! Check out the gallery to see that the dress code is whatever makes you feel comfortable. It is a good idea to wear some tracky bottoms for the warm up, (I love mine on a fat day!), just make sure any bottoms you wear can be rolled up just over the knee.
Footwear
Bare foot is great for learning and all beginners are barefoot for at least their first class. Shoes give the moves a different feel and a hint of glamour! You will probably sense that inner diva come out to play!

Put shorts under tracky bottoms and put some shoes a bag in case you fancy it!
Classes are female only, though if I get enough enquiries I will launch ”boys on poles”, (so do e-mail us boys!). Its spirit not age that counts, so if you have it join us!
We start with a funky warm up to loosen and prepare the body for the pole work. Pole fitness consists of tricks, holds and transitional moves; this is great for beginners as it means you don’t spend the whole time spinning round the pole. At the end of 6 weeks you will have learnt some great moves and a dazzling routine, a bundle of confidence and a better toned & beautiful body!
Toned Arms, Back and Abdominals
These are the most targeted areas in Pole fitness. However, don’t be surprised if the legs are also aching after your first few classes.
Confidence boost
Each new move is a challenge; many of the moves look unthinkable, but broken down and with good instruction alongside a bit of practise (!) all are achievable. Achieving the moves is a fantastic confidence boost.
Happiness!
Let those endorphins release! The classes are always a lot of fun and no one leaves without a smile on their face.
